We are eager to know and support our neighbors and believe that the way to do that is to get out and work beside them, helping to create a more vibrant sense of community. We want Influence Church members to have a tangible presence in the lives of those that we work, live, and socialize near.
Influence Church provides 75 volunteers each year in order to make this race possible. If you would like to volunteer, contact Jennifer at email@example.com.
Get ready for a 4th of July Race like no other! The Anaheim Hills Firecracker 5K/10K Run/Walk kicks off an entire day of Fourth of July festivities celebrating the birth of our great nation. Test your endurance in the Anaheim 5k or Anaheim 10k then enjoy an array of 4th of July Activities in Anaheim. The day’s events include a delicious pancake breakfast served immediately following the race, a Yankee Doodle Dog show, a 4th of July parade, and a food festival at Peralta Park culminating in a spectacular fireworks display.
It’s time once again to step out into the community and provide some much needed community event assistance. We will be helping at the 6th Annual Plymouth Rock n Run on November 28th - yes, Thanksgiving morning!
We were so helpful last year that the organizers have asked us back again and we are glad to answer that call. We need volunteers to help with parking, registration, bag check, handing out medals, handing out water, assisting with the kids run and more If you have a willing heart, we can find a job for you.
Volunteers should plan to arrive at Yorba Regional Park between 5:00 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. and the event should be over by 10:30 a.m. If you can only help out for a portion of that time, we can still use you.
We also need volunteers to help at packet pick-up on November 25 and 26 from 12 p.m. - 7 p.m. at Duke’s Cafe in Savi Ranch (23030 Eastpark Dr., Yorba Linda)
If you have any questions, please email Michelle
Hope to see you there!
Join Influence in building a float for the 4th of July parade. We need volunteers to help imagine, build and decorate our float. Smiling faces are also needed to ride on the float. Float building and decoration will take place the week of July 4th (likely in the evenings) with the finishing touches being done the morning of the parade. Call time for the parade is 1:15 p.m. with the procession beginning at 3:00 p.m.
Don’t miss being a part of this annual tradition.

Anaheim Hills Firecracker Walk/Run
Come join Influence on July 4 as we get out in the community and provide the volunteers for the Firecracker Walk/Run. The proceeds of this very important event go to cover the cost of the local firework show in Peralta Park. This is a great community event that is celebrating its 25th anniversary!
This year, a portion of the proceeds will also go towards hanging the banners on Weir Canyon that honor currently deployed military.
Influence has an integral role at this event as we are hoping that all 75 volunteers needed to put on this run will come from our church family. We can use assistance in all areas of the event from set-up, to registration, passing out water on the course, awarding medals and even just cheering on the participants.
Help is needed to distribute materials to runners on July 1 and 2 from noon to 7 p.m. and with all other aspects of the event on July 4 from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Thank you so much! Our community is counting on us to help make this event happen and we are honored to be able to make a difference.

Thank you to all of you who came out and gave of your time and talents at the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life … Carnival for a Cure. Anaheim Hills raised over $160,000 for the American Cancer Society and Influence was an integral part of that. Besides raising over $4,000, Team Influence contributed to the event by donating all the prizes for the carnival games. Volunteers worked our prize booth until sundown trading in tickets for fun toys and stuffed animals. There were even prizes for the adults like iPod speakers and tickets to Angel games.
Besides the fun and excitement of the carnival games, an important part of the event was walking the track for those who can’t. We had another dedicated team of volunteers taking turns doing just that and they logged many miles for the cause.
What a great way to serve our local community!
“To influence the world and spread God’s fame, that many may believe that He is the Christ, the Son of the Living God.”
To embody the vision of our church, we must go out and spend time with people. This is how we acquire opportunities to share Christ through word and deed. Community events are an easy way to meet people in the local community with whom we can share our faith.
Join us on May 4th as Influence Church participates in Relay for Life. This year, the theme of Relay is “Carnival for a Cure” so plan on bringing your family with you. There will be a number of game booths and prizes to keep the kids entertained as well as a photo booth, face painting, spray in hair color, temporary tattoos and lots of yummy snacks.
Influence Church is sponsoring the prize tent for the event so we need a lot of volunteers to come help us man our booth!
Relay for Life is a 24 hour fundraising event that benefits the American Cancer Society. For the last several years, Anaheim Hills has had the most successful Relay in all of Orange County. This is an excellent opportunity to get out in the community and unite with our neighbors for a common cause: to create a world with more birthdays, and less cancer.
Relay will be held at Canyon High School (220 S Imperial Hwy, Anaheim). The event starts at 9 a.m. and we need volunteers to work our booth and walk the track. We ask that you commit to one hour of time however, you are welcome to hang out as long as you like.
Please join the official Influence Team here (just click “join our team” when you get to the page).
If you participated last year, the registration is slightly different. Instead of a team fee, each participant is asked to contribute $10 when they register. If the $10 fee will prohibit you from joining, please let us know and we will cover the fee for you.
Once you register, we will send you an email confirming your participation and you can let us know what time you would like to volunteer at the event. You are welcome to split your time between walking/running and working in the booth, or you can choose to spend all of your time on just one of those tasks.
We hope you will join us on May 4th. If you have any questions or need help registering, please email Michelle
A great big “thank you” to all who participated in our Easter Basket Outreach. We collected over 75 baskets to be distributed at Camp Pendleton. We also collected several $10 Target gift cards for the older kids. This event was in partnership with the Anaheim 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit Adoption Committee and they were very grateful to have our assistance. We look forward to partnering with them again in the future to bless the wonderful men and women of our military who give so much.
Thank you to all our volunteers who were up bright and early Thanksgiving morning helping with the Plymouth Rock ‘n Run 5k/10k at Yorba Regional Park. Over 2,000 local residents came out to run and were greeted by our cheerful volunteers wearing Influence shirts. There were numerous compliments by participants and organizers alike about the wonderful “can-do” attitudes we displayed. If you missed this great opportunity to help out, don’t worry, we will post more opportunities for you to get involved soon.
In the meantime, save the date for May 4th when Influence Church will have a team at the Anaheim Hills Relay for Life. The Relay has flexible hours and is an event the whole family can participate in. If you can’t wait for more information, just email Michelle
Come join us Thanksgiving morning as we support our neighbors who are running the Plymouth Rock N’ Run 5k/10k at Yorba Regional Park. This local tradition is entering its 5th year and Influence Church has been asked to be an integral part of their ever growing event.
Volunteers are needed to help set-up, assist with registration, pass out t-shirts, man water stops, cheer on runners and hand-out awards and prizes. We can even use some judges for our costume contest.
The past four years this event has been short on volunteers as it’s hard to get people to come out early on a holiday morning. This year, even more runners (over 1500) are expected and volunteers are in even higher demand. Let’s show the local community what Influence can do when we mobilize the church body!
If our turn-out is anything like our 4th of July turn-out, people will be talking about Influence long after the holiday has passed, amazed that a group of people with willing hearts and cheerful attitudes would sacrifice a portion of their Thanksgiving morning.
Wanting to help out in a more “active” role? Runners and walkers are always needed, so come work off some of that Thanksgiving turkey before you even eat it with a 5k, 10k or kids’ 1k fun run.
Where: Yorba Regional Park, 7600 E. La Palma, Anaheim Hills
When: Thanksgiving morning, 6 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. (or any portion thereof)
Instead of just being butts in seats, let’s get our boots on the street for Jesus. What an impact we can have when we work side by side with our neighbors for a common cause or volunteer our hours to help make a community event thrive.
Thanksgiving is coming up and we have a unique opportunity to serve over 2,500 people in our local neighborhood by assisting with the annual Turkey Trot 5k at Yorba Regional Park. If you are willing to give a few hours of your time Thanksgiving morning to support this event, please email Michelle at firstname.lastname@example.org
Influence Church is committed to changing the way people do church. Rarely do you find a church so eager to get involved in the activities of the local community.
We want to know and support our neighbors and believe that the way to do that is to get out and work beside them, helping to create a more vibrant sense of community. We want Influence Church members to have a tangible presence in the lives of those that we work, live, and socialize near.
The three events we have the largest presence at are the Anaheim Hills Firecracker 5k/10k (July), the Plymouth Rock'n Run (November) and he Anaheim Hills Community Tree-lighting (December). We can use assistance at all levels from helping the community plan the events to volunteering the day of. If you are interested in helping out or would like to speak more about community events, please contact Jennifer at email@example.com
